SUSAN AULT
Susan Ault is based in Derbyshire and holds a BA Honours (Applied Arts) Degree.
She uses various stoneware clays for hand building the sculptures she makes, before applying stains and oxides to give them the finish she desires. The pieces are then fired once to a temperature of 1235 degrees.
Susan states that ’Nature has always provided her with a wealth of fascinating and interesting creatures, each with their own individual personalities. They are the inspiration of my work in clay, with its infinite possibilities, being an ideal medium through which to explore and express such qualities’.
